#10 Labs · hear your website
An audit you can hear.
Enter a web address and we'll run Google's PageSpeed Insights on it, as a phone would see it. Then the results play back as a short piece of music. A fast site sounds calm and settled. A slow one drags, drifts and never quite lands.
Ready: Our new site, measured October 29, 2026. Press Play when you want to hear it.
Sound plays only when you press Play, and the site's own soundtrack pauses until the piece ends.
The score, in words
Our new site October 29, 2026, Lighthouse on a simulated phone.
- 0:00
The waitMain content in 2 s
A soft chord, and the melody comes in after 2.0 seconds. The page shows its main content quickly, so nothing drags.
- 0:07
The driftLayout shift 0
The notes hold their pitch, or very nearly. Little or nothing on the page jumps around while it loads.
- 0:13
The weight241 KB in 23 requests
Clear and open. The page is light, so the sound stays bright.
- 0:18
The hesitationBlocked for 17 ms
Every note lands on time. The page responds to a tap right away.
- 0:24
The sour notes4 audits failed
4 quiet clashes under the melody, one for each audit the page fails. Each one is a fix on a list.
- 0:29
The endingPerformance score 99
The music comes home and rests. A score of 99: fast and settled.
Everything you hear is written out here, so the demo works with the sound off.
The address you enter goes from your browser straight to Google's PageSpeed Insights. We don't see it or keep it.
The legend
What you're hearing.
The wait
The music starts when the page's main content shows up. The longer the wait, the later the melody, and slow pages stretch every phrase after it.
The drift
Layout shift is the page jumping as it loads. You hear it as notes slipping off pitch and a slow wobble.
The weight
Heavy pages sound thick and muddy: the sound gets darker and a low rumble builds underneath.
The hesitation
When the browser is busy running scripts, taps don't respond. You hear notes arrive late.
The sour notes
Every audit the page fails adds one quiet, slow clash. A few are background color; a lot of them crowd the music.
The ending
The performance score picks the last chord. 90 and up comes home. 50 to 89 hangs unresolved. Under 50 never settles.
How it works
Real numbers, played straight.
Nothing here is made up for effect. The page asks Google's PageSpeed Insights to load the address on a simulated mid-range phone, the same test Google uses, and turns six of its numbers into music in your browser.

Measure
PageSpeed Insights runs Lighthouse against the page and reports how long the main content took, how much the layout jumped, how heavy the page is, how long scripts blocked it and which audits it failed.
- 02
Compose
Each number sets part of the piece: when the melody starts, how far it drifts, how dark and thick the sound is, where notes hesitate, how many sour notes join, and which chord it ends on.
- 03
Play
Your browser builds the sound on the spot with the Web Audio API. There are no recordings and no files to download, and the same result always plays the same piece.
Google's free quota for these audits is small and shared, so a live run may have to wait a minute. The samples always work.
